Why I Get Out of Bed Every Morning

With the hope that this whole "work" thing will continue to allow me to buy pretty things. This ring by Ippolita is pricy but absolutely gorgeous. And, at $2800, it's only a couple month's salary...aren't I worth it?

Pretty, Pretty Dresses

I'm really digging CarolAnn Wachter's clothing. Her designs are classic, feminine, and totally distinctive. I would wear every single piece in her collection. And feel pretty, oh so pretty. If only a girl in Texas could shop for her threads locally. Beh. Below are a couple of my favorites.

Boot Obsession

I think it may have something to do with the atypical cold weather, but I have been obsessed with boots lately. Especially flat boots. I've been stalking these boots for a year; I keep holding out because I'm convinced I'll catch them on sale. Yeah right. Not that it matters since it's a hard look for a girl with a size 10 foot to rock. But, if I could...and afford it, these would be THE boots. Oh, Loeffler Randall how do you make so many lovely shoes that I want to own?
I did treat myself last week and picked up a pair of these:

But in taupe. They were on sale at Barney's; I just couldn't resist! But the suede is super-soft, so they're at the shoe man's getting scotch guarded so that I can wear them at least twice before destroying them. See more of Guillaume Hinfray's pretties.

New Coat, How I Adore Thee

I've been stalking Vena Cava's "Anais" coat. Checking the web every day finally paid off...sale! My coat just came in, and I love it. Far from a traditional black wool coat, this coat is a stunner with its the oversized snaps, circle ring belt, and vintage silk lining. I certainly have not been doing it justice by pairing it with my Uggs. I'm convinced stylish shearling boots do not exist (no Michael Kors for me, thank you), and a girl's gotta stay warm. By the way, these post-Christmas sales are going to be the cause for dissolution cited on my divorce papers.
