I would. Not too long ago I was obsessed with a lamp. A lamp I found online. The most gorgeous lamp I ever saw. My husband couldn't understand why I felt so passionately about this lamp. The lamp I was so obsessed with is the tripod lamp by BDDW, a fantastic furniture company in New York. During a recent trip to New York, I decided I had to go see this lamp in person. So my husband and I went to the BDDW showroom in Soho, and guess what? The lamp was amazing! In fact, many of the pieces at BDDW are amazing, modern, exquisitely handcrafted. I would seriously furnish my entire house in BDDW if I could. And the best part is that when my husband saw the lamp in person, he liked it! So he bought it for me! It really is the most fantastic lamp ever made.

Spring is Nowhere to be Found
Except in Spring collections! Eley Kishimoto's spring collection is so vibrant and fun. It almost makes me forget about all of the cold and dreary weather outside. Their use of color and pattern is phenomenal. Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto have come a long way from their textile design roots on which they cut their first creative teeth to the world of high fashion for which they are known worldwide today. Their textiles are also fantastic. My only complaint is that their only shop is in London, and I can only find one listing for US retailers, Creatures of Comfort. One is just not enough! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to wearing more color this spring, especially yellow. Here are a couple of favorites from their collection.

Why I Get Out of Bed Every Morning
With the hope that this whole "work" thing will continue to allow me to buy pretty things. This ring by Ippolita is pricy but absolutely gorgeous. And, at $2800, it's only a couple month's salary...aren't I worth it?

Pretty, Pretty Dresses
I'm really digging CarolAnn Wachter's clothing. Her designs are classic, feminine, and totally distinctive. I would wear every single piece in her collection. And feel pretty, oh so pretty. If only a girl in Texas could shop for her threads locally. Beh. Below are a couple of my favorites.

Heels as Art
Holy moly, I happened to see these gorgeous Lanvin pumps in Barney's last week, and I was almost afraid to touch them. Almost. I was brainstorming strategies to convince my husband that they are wearable sculpture. Which I completely believe, by the way. Available at Luisa Via Roma. And if you live in the states, you're saving money (converts to approx. $600, I believe they were $900 at Barney's). Please, please order a pair, and tell me how fabulous they are. How much better your life is since you made the purchase.

Boot Obsession
I think it may have something to do with the atypical cold weather, but I have been obsessed with boots lately. Especially flat boots. I've been stalking these boots for a year; I keep holding out because I'm convinced I'll catch them on sale. Yeah right. Not that it matters since it's a hard look for a girl with a size 10 foot to rock. But, if I could...and afford it, these would be THE boots. Oh, Loeffler Randall how do you make so many lovely shoes that I want to own?
But in taupe. They were on sale at Barney's; I just couldn't resist! But the suede is super-soft, so they're at the shoe man's getting scotch guarded so that I can wear them at least twice before destroying them. See more of Guillaume Hinfray's pretties.
I did treat myself last week and picked up a pair of these:
